Introduction to Brixham Environmental Laboratory
Brixham Environmental Laboratory (BEL)
Located in Devon, in the South West of England, Brixham EnvironmentalBEL was established in 1948 as a testing facility for ICI Paints, and transferred to Zeneca Limited following the demerger of ICI in 1993. In 1999 the Laboratory became part of the AstraZeneca organisation.
There are about 90 full-time staff in the laboratory at Brixham, covering a wide range of scientific disciplines, including:
